In 2016 Urban Systems and Imagine Kelowna partnered to host a series of engagement sessions. However, these weren’t going to be just any old events! These “Upside Down Town Halls” were held in the evening and included local musicians, poets, guest speakers, and engagement activities. A little free food helped as well! Discussions covered housing, sustainability, transportation, and economics.

The key effort was to reach a new demographic for this kind of event. To achieve an “evening out” feel, we settled on dark textures and bright secondary colours. I created posters, postcards, and a slideshow of “did you know” facts, in addition to social media graphics.
